It all started with a watch. Not just any watch, but the Panerai 382 – a bronze masterpiece that caught my eye and ignited my passion. The allure of bronze, with its rich patina effect and timeless, almost ancient beauty, fascinated me. It was a material that told a story, evolving with its wearer. But then, reality hit—$25,000 for a watch? It felt like a gatekeeper’s price, barring passionate enthusiasts like myself from experiencing the magic of bronze.

 

I searched for alternatives, but none truly captured the essence of what I was looking for—something bold, artistic, and accessible. That’s when I decided: if the watch I wanted didn’t exist, I would create it myself. This was the birth of BATISCAFO.

 

In many ways, this journey reminded me of Ferruccio Lamborghini’s story. He was a man who loved cars and had the knowledge to improve them. But when he approached Ferrari with ideas, he was dismissed—told to “stick to tractors.” Instead of accepting that, Lamborghini took his vision into his own hands and created something legendary.

 

Like Lamborghini, I saw an opportunity where others saw limits. But unlike many independent watchmakers, I wasn’t just an enthusiast—I am Andrei Troff (Andrei Trofimtchouk), an award-winning design director in the automotive industry. My career has been dedicated to creating high-performance, visually striking designs for some of the most demanding industries in the world. And this expertise is what makes BATISCAFO watches different.

 

BATISCAFO isn’t just a project of passion—it’s a statement of design excellence. The level of refinement in our watches is on par with major luxury brands because they are created with the same attention to detail, proportion, and quality that goes into high-end car design.
