Brand DNA and design philosophy was created by Andrei Trofimtchouk, artist, experienced car Designer Director with more then 25 projects and more then 250,000 production cars on roads, watch enthusiast, product and naval designer.
 

BATISCAFO – Designed for Those Who Value Design, Not Status

 

For more than twenty years I have designed products that had to balance emotion, engineering and function. As an automotive design director, I’ve spent my career shaping vehicles that now exist in hundreds of thousands of examples around the world. Every curve, every surface and every proportion had to serve a purpose.

 

Eventually I asked myself a simple question.

 

Why should exceptional industrial design be reserved only for people who can afford a $20,000 watch?

 

Some of the world’s greatest watch designs inspired me, just as great architecture, aviation and automotive design always have. But inspiration is only the starting point. What interested me wasn’t recreating the past—it was applying the same professional design process used in the automotive industry to create something original, functional and emotionally engaging.

 

That became BATISCAFO.

 

Not a fashion brand.

 

Not another microbrand built around marketing.

 

A design-driven watch company created by an industrial designer.

 

BATISCAFO was founded on a simple belief:

 

Good design should not be a privilege of the wealthy.

 

Luxury brands often charge extraordinary prices, not only because of craftsmanship, but because of decades of marketing, retail margins and prestige. I wanted to prove that a product could be designed with the same level of care, precision and visual sophistication without asking collectors to spend the price of a new car.

 

Every BATISCAFO watch is created using the same design principles I learned in the automotive industry:

• visual tension

• timeless forms that age gracefully.

 

Bronze became one of our signature materials because, like good design, it evolves over time. Every scratch, every mark and every layer of patina tells the owner’s story, making every watch unique.

 

To keep our watches accessible, we launch new collections through Kickstarter and sell directly to our customers whenever possible. By removing unnecessary markups, we invest where it matters most—design, materials and manufacturing quality.
